As the sun arcs toward the horizon, the light turns syrupy. The water reflects copper and rose, and you understand why locals time their visits to this exact hour. Sailboats return to their moorings, silhouettes against a sky that refuses to fade quickly. You stay until the first stars prick through, your feet still sandy, salt drying on your forearms.
