Walk past the fish auctions and chandleries that line Ciboure's working waterfront, and you'll stumble onto this pocket beach wedged between the dinghy launch and the harbor wall. Plage des Dériveurs earns its name from the small sailboats that cluster offshore—dériveurs, centerboard dinghies piloted by local sailing clubs. The sand is coarse and golden, littered with rope fragments and cork floats, and the water stays shallow for twenty meters, warm and still as a bath by August.
