What keeps La Cantine off the island's promotional posters—its modest scale, its lack of surf drama, its position between more famous stretches—is precisely what makes it function. You come here not to conquer or photograph or cross off a list, but to spend an afternoon doing very little, very well, in a place that asks nothing more of you than that you notice the light on wet sand and the taste of salt on your forearm.
