The beach at Kägsdorf unfolds in quiet defiance of the busy resort towns that bookend this stretch of Mecklenburg coast. You descend through a narrow path cut between grassy slopes, and suddenly the Baltic spreads before you—a long sweep of beige sand interrupted only by weather-worn groynes and the occasional piece of driftwood smoothed to bone-white. Behind you, sedimentary cliffs crumble gently into talus slopes where wildflowers colonize the rubble each spring.

The shore here carries a different rhythm than Kühlungsborn to the east. Tractors from inland farms sometimes leave faint tracks near the dune line.
