The exposure here shapes everything. Northwest winds arrive straight from the Kattegat, building waves that crash with surprising force given the Baltic's modest size. Salt spray carries inland, coating the village in a fine mist that corrodes metal and weathers wood to silver. In winter, spray sometimes freezes mid-air, creating ice sculptures on the beach grass.
