The path down to Li Cossi weaves through maquis that smells of juniper and wild rosemary, your sandals scuffing over lichen-dappled rock. Granite monoliths frame the cove like cathedral walls, their surfaces hollowed and carved by millennia of wind into shapes that catch shadow and light. When you step onto the sand, you'll notice its warmth—fine grains mixed with crushed shell that pale almost white where the tide has retreated. Wade in and the seafloor stays visible even where the water reaches your waist, rippled sand dotted with occasional dark stones. Small fish dart near the rocks that tumble into the sea at both ends of the cove. The granite continues underwater, forming natural corridors you can swim through, their walls slick with algae and studded with limpets.
